Faraday is a platform to create, share, and engage with virtual AI characters. We believe that a new medium of entertainment is emerging, enabled by open-ended interactions with AI that feel real. Our mission is to build the most expressive toolkit for creators to bring these experiences to life, and push the boundaries of what is possible with current technologies.

Senior Fullstack Engineer

Hiring

We’re looking for an experienced full-stack engineer to work with us in San Francisco. Our user base is growing fast, and there is lots to build!

The ideal candidate wants to hit the ground running right away, and is comfortable driving features from ideation to production. We don’t micromanage – you will have real ownership over the direction of the product from day one.

What we're looking for:

• Deep expertise writing production-grade software in Typescript. Our stack is React, Electron, NextJS, tRPC, Prisma.
• A self-starter who gets things done.
• Someone who puts user feedback first, and cares deeply about the user experience.
• Curiosity and willingness to learn new topics/technologies quickly.

What you might work on:

• Shipping new user-facing features across our desktop, browser, and mobile offerings.
• Improving the performance of our local and cloud-based inference engines.
• Adding multi-modal capabilities (image, video, speech) to the core chat experience.
